BOB FREEBORN

DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier

Bob Freeborn
Technical Director of DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier

Bob has been involved with property maintenance, in one form or another, for most of his working life. He is an approved Japanese Knotweed Technician with the Property Care Association.

Bob became involved with underground drainage 25 years ago.
He worked closely, for several years, with Arboriculturist, Peter Scott F.Arbor.A. M.E.W.I., who was the first person to use an approved flexible root barrier membrane to protect against damage from tree roots, Japanese Knotweed and other invasive plant species.

Bob designed and built a trenching machine, capable of digging 4.5m deep and only 180mm wide, which made installation of deep root barriers more cost-effective and less disruptive to the surrounding area.

Bob took over DENDRO-SCOTT™ Root Barrier from Peter Scott eight years ago and now tends to concentrate on root barrier solutions for Japanese Knotweed.
