Mark Liddiard joined Mott MacDonald in 2016 to take up a leadership role in environmental services for the nuclear industry. Mark has been working as a consultant to the nuclear industry for over 10 years. Previously, he was head of environment for UKAEA and before that for the AWE sites. Mark started his career as an environmental regulator, working for the National Rivers Authority before joining the Environment Agency.
Successful Remediation Outside of Nuclear Site Boundaries
The seminar will examine the drivers for clean-up of offsite contamination arising from historic activities of nuclear sites and look at success stories in the UK where land (and foreshore) has been successfully cleaned up and released for beneficial uses. The seminar will use examples which the speaker has worked on since joining the industry in 1998.
